This book is currently the best on the subject of Tsujigahana, the preferred style of textile decoration for samurai in late feudal period Japan. Tsujigahana is primarily a stitched tie-dye process enhanced with painting or embriode ry. The plates are well photographed, and cover a range of subject matter. It also contains measurements of many of the garments considered in the text.
